"No seamos cómplices de otro crimen"
Ciudad de la Habana, 30 de Septiembre

Victor Rolando Arroyo y Félix Navarro, hombres que constituyen ejemplos de
entrega y amor a la Libertad, con un elevado sentido del respeto a los deberes
y derechos de los Seres Humanos, no deben tener el mismo destino del insigne
patriota Pedro Luis Boitel, quien por protestar frente a las injusticias
contra él cometidas tranquilamente lo dejaron morir en una de las celdas
inhumanas de la prisión del Castillo del Príncipe, el 24 de Mayo de 1972,
luego de permanecer 53 días en huelga de hambre.
El conjunto de voces de la Organización de Naciones Unidas, la Comunidad
Europea, la Organización de EstadosAmericanos, las Organizaciones Disidentes
de la Isla y del Exilio, así como las personas de buena voluntad, debe
alzarse con fuerza para condenar y evitar otro vil crimen del régimen cubano.
En los más de doscientos centros penitenciarios existentes en el país los
reclusos están expuestos a constantes tratos crueles, inhumanos y degradantes;
los presos políticos son sometidos a peor situación, pues son víctimas del
odio y de la intolerancia del sistema que utiliza métodos represivos para
aplastar tanto a las personas como cualquier acción pacífica que se les
oponga, sin considerar para ello si violan los tratados y convenios
internacionales y la propias leyes internas.
Una actitud de indiferencia o de aceptación de esta situación de ignominia,
que puede tener por desenlace la muerte de personas INOCENTES propiciada por
el régimen, implica ser cómplices de otro crimen el cual lamentaría la
Humanidad. Si finalmente asesinan a Arroyo y a Navarro en las prisiones
cubanas, los Derechos de todos los seres humanos quedarán flagelados. Les
debemos a estos grandes demócratas adoptar una posición activa frente a la
Barbarie y el Terror que nos han impuesto durante décadas.
La salud de ellos, comprometida por la huelga de hambre en la que se
encuentran desde hace varias semanas, cada minuto va deteriorándose e instalándose
en sus frágiles organismos daños irreversibles. Tan solo con el espíritu
de ambos, muy fortalecido y resuelto a continuar la acción hasta que cumplan
con sus reclamos, no podrán sostener la Vida por mucho tiempo.
Enfilemos nuestra mirada hacia las celdas donde se encuentran los valerosos Héroes,
agucemos nuestros oídos para escuchar sus débiles, por el desgaste físico
pero firmes reclamos, unamos nuestras voces para denunciar la conjura en su
contra, y entreguémosle nuestras mentes y corazones para acompañarlos y
juntos de la mano erigirnos y transitar en busca de la JUSTICIA.

interceder para salvarles la vida a estos dos valientes y Nobles luchadores
por la libertad y los derechos humanos del pueblo Cubano.

llame a la Prisión de Mayor Seguridad Combinado de Guantánamo al teléfono:
011-21-38-31-02, y se interese por ambos prisioneros de conciencia y a su vez
responsabilicen por la integridad física de ambos prisioneros de conciencia
al Director del Combinado de Guantánamo, Teniente Coronel Reynaldo Fernández.

SOS "Let us not be accomplices of another crime"

Víctor Rolando Arroyo and Félix Navarro, men who are examples selfless
giving of themselves for the cause of freedom, and a high sense of respect to
the duties and rights of all human beings, should not have to endure the same
destiny as the famous patriot Pedro Luis Boitel, who was allowed to die in an
inhumane cell at the prison Castillo del Principe, on May 24th of 1972, after
remaining 53 days in a hunger strike in protest for all the abuses he was
subjected to in said prison.
Organizations such as United Nations, the European Community, the American
Organization of States, all the dissident organizations of the Island as well
the Exile community, as well as all people of goodwill should strongly raise
their voices to avoid another vile crime of the Cuban regime.
All prisoners in the more than two hundred penitentiary in existence in the
country are exposed to constant cruel, inhumane and degrading treatments; the
political prisoners are subjected to worse situation, because they are victims
of the hate and of the intolerance of the system that uses repressive methods
to squash these people, without taking into consideration that in doing so
they are violating all international treaties and also their own laws.
An attitude of indifference or acceptance of this ignominy propitiated by the
Cuban regime and whose outcome can be the death of INNOCENT, implies being
accomplices of another crime which Humanity would lament.If they finally
murder Arroyo and Navarro in the Cuban prisons, the Rights of all human beings
will be lashed. We owe it to these two great democrats to adopt an active
position before the Barbarism and the Terror imposed on us for decades.
Their health, compromised for several weeks now due to the hunger strike,
deteriorates with every minute that goes by, causing irreversible damaged to
their fragile organisms. They will not not be able to sustan life for much
longer, for their resolute spirit is to continue this action until their
claims are granted.
Lets turn our eyes to the cells of these two valiant heroes, let us sharpen
our hearing to be able to listen to their weak, faint but firm claims, let us
unite our voices to denounce the plot against them, and let us give them our
hearts and minds to accompany them and together hand in hand let us march in
search of JUSTICE.
